To be able to fish with such an experienced guide, professional angler, and most importantly a new friend, is a once in a lifetime opportunity. My father and I have been fortunate to fish and hunt all over the nation and with some of the best guides that are out there. At one point during our trip I looked at him, "Art this really touches me; I never had the opportunity to fish with my grandfather before he passed and you look like him, talk like him and you gave me a memory I that will last forever."  I don't know how you get them to hold the soft plastics for so long but, we had 7LB bass that Art handed us the pole and well it's a good thing my football days are behind me I fumbled got tangled and Art went, jumped in, and we got him. Also he can add one more species to his things to catch; Gators, with a rod and a real (I'll let you tell that one).  In all of the places and the guides that I have met myself or traveling with my dad this whole trip felt like we were fishing with a long lost friend see you soon.  Thanks  Art,  John and Laurence Kurtz

      I really enjoyed my fish with Art. Despite cold weather, he ran all over the lake to produce fish, and he did, a product of effort, time and knowledge of the lake. I had fun and learned a lot about how to be a better basser. I will be back again as soon as I can.

      Had a great outing with Art this October. Even with others struggling to find fish, Art put me on quite a few fish, including my first 8 pounder! Been out with Art three in the last year, and can't wait to go again.

November 12, 2010       I had to fish with Art on the same weekend I had business in Florida. I booked the trip, made all my travel arrangements and a large cold front decided to hit Lake Okeechobee the same weekend. I couldn\'t reschedule and Art and I made the best of it. I had accepted the fact that fishing was going to be bad, wind was blowing 30 mph from the north and the temperature went down to near record lows. Well, Art put me on fish and we caught more fish than expected, some of them much nicer than I excepted ... I still have the bruise on my arm to prove it. It was a great trip catching several dozen fish instead of just several ! Looking forward to the next trip !!!

      I have known Art Hodges for over three years, and my wife and I have fished with him in the Lake Okeechobee area. We have always found Art to be a professional guide and interesting fishing companion.

      Art is knowledgeable regarding not only fishing but also the wonderful and colorful history of the area. Art works hard to find and stay on the fish essentially making every trip a great experience.

      I always try to get out on the water with Art on my annual visits to the Lake Okeechobie area. The day passes very quickly as Art fills the time between bites with his knowledge of fishing, the outdoors and the local area. We have visited new water on each trip. You are sure to learn something new.

      A fishing trip with Art is like a day on the water with a good friend and you are sure to catch fish.
